Second book coming soon from contributor to 2015 aois21 annual
Mount Vernon, VA – aois21 publishing, LLC announced today the signing of Michael B. Judkins as an aois21 Creative. Michael B. Judkins previously self-published his first book, a chapbook Introduction to Sentimental Me!, in April 2015. Several pieces from that chapbook have appeared in literary journals, including his poem Why?, which was included in the 2015 aois21 annual. Michael will be working with aois21 to bring his second poetry collection to the larger market in Spring 2016. He will also be taking part in the aois21 poetry podcast, Passion on the Page.
Interlude to Sentimental Me!, is a collection of 40 to 50 new poems that continues the inspirational journey started in his self-published Introduction. The Interlude includes poems of love, sadness, happiness, and motivation. It will focus on how to increase your self worth through the power of words.
Born in the Bronx, NY, along with his four brothers and sisters, Michael’s childhood memories, although bittersweet, provided a rich foundation for him to draw upon later in life as an accomplished author. After spending years immersed in typical, reactive adolescent behaviors, Michael began experimenting with other alternatives to developing new relationships and helping resolve social issues. As he took these first, proactive steps, the germ of the idea for his series – Sentimental Me! – was born. Michael now resides in Allentown, P.A., and welcomes all readers to feel free to contact him at judkins_michal@yahoo.com to discuss your reaction to his work, or learn more about upcoming releases.
"When Michael approached us with his new book of poetry I was very receptive," said Keith F. Shovlin, aois21’s publisher. "Each new Creative we bring on provides a different voice, a different background, and adds to the catalog, improving it like a piece of the puzzle. What Michael has written, and his unique experiences make us collectively better."
